Artificial intelligence (AI) and Robotics serve very different purposes. Still people often get them mix up.
A lot of people wonder if robotics is a subdivision of artificial intelligence. Others wonder if they are the same thing.
Is artificial intelligence & robotics the same thing?
The major thing to clarify is that artificial intelligence & robotics are not the same things at all. In fact, the two fields are nearly entirely separate.
Is a kind of technology that deals with physical robots. Robots are programmable machines that are typically able to carry out a series of activities autonomously, or semi-autonomously. In my judgment, there are three important factors which establish a robot:
- Robots cooperate with the physical creation via sensors & actuators.
- Robots are programmable.
- Robot are typically autonomous or semi-autonomous.
I say that robots are “typically” autonomous because that some robots aren’t. Telerobots for example are completely controlled by a human operator. But telerobotic is still classify as a branch of robotics. This is one example where the definition of robotics is not actual clear.
It is surprisingly difficult to get specialists to agree on exactly what establishes a “robot.” Certain people say that a robot must be able to “think” and make decisions. However, there is no normal definition of “robot thinking.” Needful a robot to “think” suggests that it has particular level of AI but the countless non-intelligent robots that exist show that thinking cannot be a condition for a robot.
(AI) is a branch of computer science. It includes developing computer programs to complete responsibilities which would then require human intelligence. AI algorithms can challenge learning, perception, problem -solving, language-sympathetic and / or logical reasoning.
AI is use in several ways within the modern world. For example AI algorithms are used in Google searches Amazon’s reference engine and Satnav route finders. Most AI programs are not use to regulator robots.
Even when AI is used to manage robots, the AI algorithms are only share of the larger robotic system, which also contains sensors, actuators & non-AI programming.

The key feature that differentiates AI from more conservative programming is the word intelligence. Non-AI programs only carryout defined sequence of instructions. AI programs mimic particular level of human intelligence.
Artificially Intelligent Robots
AI robots are the bridge b/w robotics and AI. These are robots which are organizing by AI programs. Several robots are not artificially intelligent.
